SHIPPING POLICY for Train Merchant

1. Order Processing Time
All orders are usually processed within 1 business day, but sometimes up to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email.
If we are away from the store for an extended period of time, processing may be delayed by a few days. We will notify you if there is a significant delay.

2. Shipping Origin
All orders are shipped from Colorado, United States.

3. Domestic Shipping (United States)
We offer the following shipping options within the United States:

-- USPS Ground Shipping: 3–7 business days

-- USPS Priority Shipping: 2–3 business days
Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, size, and destination.

4. International Shipping
We currently offer international shipping to select countries.
International shipping rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout. Please note:

-- Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees.

-- Delivery times vary by country and customs processing.

-- Train Merchant is not responsible for delays caused by customs or international carriers.

-- All international orders will be insured.  The shipping price will include that added cost.

-- All sales are final with international orders.  Returns are not accepted.

5. Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number.
Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to update.

6. Shipping Delays
Train Merchant is not responsible for shipping delays caused by:

-- Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)

-- Weather conditions or natural disasters

-- Customs processing

-- Incorrect or incomplete addresses

-- Events beyond our reasonable control

7. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout.
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer is responsible for:

-- Additional shipping costs to resend the order, or

-- A restocking fee if a refund is requested (if applicable)

8. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages
Lost or Stolen Packages:
Train Merchant is not responsible for packages marked as “delivered” by the carrier but not received.
If your package is lost in transit, please contact us and we will assist in filing a claim with the carrier.
Damaged Items:
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

-- Your order number

-- Photos of the damaged item and packaging
We will evaluate the situation and determine an appropriate resolution.

9. Partial Shipments
If your order contains multiple items, they may be shipped separately to ensure faster delivery.

10. Oversized or Fragile Items (Model Railroad Products)
Some model railroad items (e.g., locomotives, rolling stock, track, scenery, or electronics) may require special packaging.
We take care to package items securely, but Train Merchant is not responsible for damage caused by carrier handling beyond our control.

11. Shipping Restrictions
We reserve the right to restrict shipping to certain locations or addresses, including P.O. boxes or international destinations, depending on carrier limitations.
